Pacha Panels is a supplier of biobased materials that enables circularity in the interior and construction industry. Pacha Panels wants to change the industry standard by supplying healthy, biobased and reusable materials to the (interior) construction and furniture industry. Pacha Panels sees the greatest opportunity in CO2 reduction and circularity by using fast-growing crops and residual flows from agriculture and industry. These materials are often easy to combine with, for example, timber frame construction, but can also be used in furniture production. Materials for the construction and furniture industry can easily be made from fast-growing crops, such as hemp, miscanthus, flax, bamboo, roadside grass and seaweed. These are crops that do not compete with food flows. They are restorative and regrowthable sources with an innovative supply. Because the crops grow back in the short term, these raw materials form an inexhaustible source for the materials. This is in contrast to fossil raw materials that were created over a period of millions of years and where a lot of CO2 is released during extraction and processing.

It is possible: a world without waste. Materials and products are shared, repaired and reused. And at the end of its life, it can be used again as a raw material for a new application. A piece of furniture, interior or building is circular if, during development and use, the raw material stocks are preserved in a closed cycle, without harmful emissions to the air, water and the soil. In the current linear model, many products end up in the scrap heap as waste, as they are not designed for repair or reuse. That can certainly change. Because the only future is circular.

Furniture and interiors can be developed from sustainable materials that can be reused endlessly. The future is circular in which products are designed for repair, reuse or repurposing.
